About Jay Javurek
To me, writing is not about the money you make from writing. It is about the experience you share with other people.
I am the author who creates the story. The narrator who tells the story. The character who lives in the story. For every person is a story to someone.
Just call me Jay. I served as a soldier of the United States Army, Florida Army National Guard for 18.5 years. Six years active duty. I conducted training in matters of Life and Death. I try to be a warrior for the weak. I hate bullies. I continue to be a protector of the meek. I am a caregiver for a multitude of animals, and two people, one mentally challenged. I am a victim of circumstance. I have restarted my life more than one time as necessary to move on. I tell stories verbally, and now I write them. I am a Soldier, a Sportsman, an Electronic Geek who loves the great outdoors. Maybe, I am an Author, that is up for you to decide.
My Experience includes.
Soldier — 16H40 — Military Ops/Intell Assitant — Instructor — Leader — Gamer — Electronic Engineer — Science Explorer — People Person — Doberman Lover — An “Old Guy” who reads probably too much.
I am many things, have done many things, have dreamed of many things. Some might say I am a complicated person. But I am just a man who journeyed through the world. Survived this and that.
I traveled this journey with another. My partner, my soul mate, my wife for 43 years. She has traveled where I have traveled, almost, some military places prohibited. We have shared the same dirt together, the good and bad times, life with all its experiences.
I wore many “Hats” the jobs I took. And stories come with each one of them. I have died, came to life with a jolt. I have dove deep in cool waters. Swam with sharks. Caught snakes and Alligators. Jumped from a height, off a cliff, off a Mountain, off a plane, and a Helicopter.
I floated in a river and went down rapidly in the Rapids. I have stayed in the woods by myself, a survivalist in the heartland. A woodsman with wildlife. A Hunter in uniform — for the two-legged kind.
